Boston College linebacker Brian Toal returned to practice today after a quick trip to New Jersey to have doctors examine some soreness Toal was experiencing in the trapezius region of his back--the area which spans from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. "Not a big deal,'' aid BC coach Jeff Jagodzinski when asked about Toal missing Sunday's scrimmage, as well as missing the team activities (an off day from practice) on Monday.

It was a big enough deal to send Toal back to New Jersey to have the soreness checked out in the same area where Toal had surgery last year which sidelined him for the 2007 season.

The Eagles will continue to work on their game plan for their season opener against Kent State on August 30th as well as their home opener against Georgia Tech on Sept. 6. They will have Thursday afternoon off from practice as they move into their dorm rooms and apartments.
