Kanye West and his notorious temper issues have been on display for years, but now Los Angeles city prosecutors have reportedly decided that enough is enough and charged him for his latest altercation with a celebrity photographer.

The charges in question – misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft – stem from a July encounter with the multi-platinum rapper shortly after his flight landed at Los Angeles International Airport.

The rest, as shown in TMZ’s video below, is open to interpretation depending on your feelings on celebrities and the legitimacy of their demands for privacy.

None of the charges are felonies, and it’s doubtful Kanye will see any jail time even though each charge carries up to six months behind bars or a $1,000 fine.

This could actually be a good thing for Kanye as chances are the judge will hit him with a fine and send him to some court-mandated anger management therapy, which might very well prevent future outburst like this one.

Oh, and the photographer, you ask? Well, he immediately retained the services of Gloria Allred. Need we say more?

Considering Princess Diana's paparazzi-induced debacle, do you think that this latest scuffle with photographers – another also recently took place – warrants criminal charges? Let us know in our survey below as well as in the comment section.

Twitter, of course, is already sounding off with its own opinion on the matter.
