John F. Kennedy Library extends hours

By Associated Press, 07/22/99

BOSTON - The John F. Kennedy Library and Museum has decided to extend its hours today to accommodate visitors who wish to sign a condolence book.

The library normally closes for the day at 5 p-m, but will stay open tonight until 9 p-m.

Officials say more than three-thousand people have visited the library in the last two days. Many came only to sign the condolence book in the lobby of the building.

John F. Kennedy Junior served as vice chairman of the J-F-K Library Foundation. He last visited the library in May.
