As we all know from his victory speech, US Senator Scott Brown wants his two daughters to get married. There are no plans for that at the moment, but thanks to local photog Kerry Brett, the Browns can pretend. Arianna Brown, the senator’s younger daughter — a Syracuse University student and part-time model with Maggie Trichon’s Maggie Inc. — posed in a Michael De Paulo-designed wedding gown for Brett, who is finishing the book “Boston Exceptional Women’’ with her father, Bill Brett, a Globe contributor and former staff photographer. The shoot took place at the Four Seasons, where Gail Huff picked up her daughter afterward.

No Lady Gaga at after-parties

Semi Precious Weapons manager Merck Mercuriadis e-mailed us over the weekend to tell us the band was not stood up by Lady Gaga at an after-party at Woodward restaurant in the Ames hotel on Thursday night. Apparently, Gaga was never on the guest list for the after-party, which was hosted by the Berklee College of Music-trained rock act after their show with Gaga at the TD Garden. “We are very careful when we book our after-parties to make it clear that they are Semi Precious Weapons’ after-parties, not Lady Gaga’s, and that she will not be attending,’’ Mercuriadis wrote. . . . . Club Cafe had hoped that Gaga might show up to its own after-party on Friday night. The club invited the costumed pop singer to stop by but she didn’t, which means she never got to try Club Cafe’s “Lady Gaga Cocktail,’’ which was made with vodka, citronge, blue curaçao liqueur, cranberry juice, and Valencia orange wedges.

Local ‘Twilight’ star on the move

Jamaica Plain-bred actress Julia Jones was still making rounds over the weekend to promote “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,’’ in which she plays Leah, the only female werewolf. Jones, who went to Boston Latin and performed with the Boston Ballet and the Wheelock Family Theatre in her Boston youth, surprised Twi-hards at a Chicago movie theater on Friday night by showing up to introduce the film. Jones and some of her werewolf and vampire friends, including Chaske Spencer, Kellan Lutz, Daniel Cudmore, and Alex Meraz, are expected to be in Cambridge for a local “Twilight’’ convention in a few weeks.

Sweet tweets for Ferguson
Before he played emcee on the Esplanade last night, comedian and late-night host Craig Ferguson performed two sold-out shows at the Wilbur Theatre. He was joined onstage by a “back-up band.’’ Not quite the Pops, but just as interesting to look at. Ferguson ate well while he was here. He tweeted on Saturday, “Good Lord! Have just had amazing cup cake @ Cherry Bomb bakery in Boston. Best thing I’ve had in my mouth since the 80s.’’

Weekend of celebrity-studded parties
Boston royals Matt Damon and Ben Affleck had busy July Fourth weekends. Damon was in Las Vegas for the Ante Up for Africa poker benefit with celebrity pals Don Cheadle, Montel Williams, and Shannon Elizabeth. Damon told People magazine at the event that his children are keeping close tabs on wife Luciana’s pregnancy. “They track its progress in mommy’s belly,’’ he told the magazine. While Damon was in Sin City, Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner were in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., for the opening of the Casino Club at the Greenbrier. Other celebs at the weekend of posh parties for the resort included Brooke Shields, Raquel Welch, and Jessica Simpson. Garner was probably happy to make the trip; she grew up in the Mountain State.

Around town
“Burn Notice’’ star and Amesbury native Jeffrey Donovan was in town for the holiday weekend for the second year in a row. The actor was at Fenway Park before Saturday’s Red Sox-Orioles game to pal around with David Ortiz. July Fourth performer Toby Keith made his own Fenway appearance yesterday afternoon. . . . Sudbury actor Chris Evans — a.k.a. the new “Captain America’’ — was spotted hanging at Royale on Friday night. The actor has been in town to film the Anna Faris comedy “What’s Your Number?’’ Crews with the movie are expected to film on Beacon Hill later this week. Also at Royale that night were “Boy Meets World’’ actor Ben Savage, DJ Lady Tribe, and rapper Young Joc.
