Peter Wolf invited Al Kooper to join him on stage at his sold-out Somerville Theatre show the other night. (The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame keyboardist sat in on “Growing Pains.’’) As always, the crowd included a who’s who of Boston rock. Asa Brebner , Doug Slade , Dennis Brennan , Billy Beard , and David Johnston were all there, as was luthier Jim Mauradian , Middle East owner Joseph Sater , and Phoenix exec David Bieber .
