Notable Newtonians: Celebrities from Newton
Asimov, real name Isaak Yudovich Ozimov, is known internationally as a prolific science fiction writer. But locally, he was known as a professor of biochemistry at Boston University.
He also lived in New York, but while he was a tenured professor he called Newton home.
Asimov, who died in 1992, coined the term "robotics" and came up with the "Three Laws of Robotics" in a story that was adapted for Hollywood in the movie "I, Robot" that starred Will Smith.
