A West Roxbury barn was destroyed by a fire Monday night, Boston Fire Department officials said.
The two-alarm blaze at the barn behind a home at 31 Hastings St. broke out at about 10:45 p.m., fire department spokesman Steve MacDonald said.
No injuries were reported, though several power and utility lines went down due to the fire, he said.
MacDonald said the one-and-a-half story, standalone barn burnt to the ground. He did not know what, if anything, was stored inside the barn.
Officials estimated the damage at about $150,000.
Fire investigators have not yet determined how the fire started, he said.
The barn is located around the corner from the neighborhood's main business district along Centre Street. MacDonald said firefighters battled the blaze from the back parking lots of some of those shops.
The barn measured about 550 square feet, according to city records.
