The Watertown Community Foundation has announced two grant-making programs to support local nonprofits, programs, and projects in 2012.
The first, The Education Grants program, will award grants up to $2,500 to nonprofit organizations and public entities that serve Watertown. The grant is designed to help organizations develop new, or continue existing, programs with an educational focus. Applicant organizations are encouraged to collaborate to increase effectiveness and
expand the number of people served.
The second, The Grants to Core Institutions program, helps institutions central to the Watertown community maintain their critical programming and retain paid staff by providing overhead funds. Grants to Core Institutions impose no restrictions on the use of funds or program requirements. Funding of up to $5,000 will be awarded to selected organizations.
Both programs are funded by the Foundation’s Watertown Arsenal Education Fund.
The application deadline for both grant programs is April 20.
These programs do not include funding for Watertown Riverfront programs or Healthy Watertown programs. Please contact the foundation separately for information about those programs.
Information about the grant programs is available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or calling 617-926-1500.
The Watertown Community Foundation works to build and sustain a vibrant, close-knit community in Watertown by raising funds for non-profits and community projects.
