The magazine gave the school a silver medal, based on criteria that measured state exam proficiency, college preparedness, and teaching the least advantaged students, the school said in a statement.
This is the third consecutive silver-medal ranking for the school, and places Prospect Hill among the top 6 percent of nearly 22,000 high schools measured nationwide.
The school has campuses in Cambridge and Somerville.

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School was founded in 1996 by a diverse group of community members with the mission to prepare each student for success in college, to inspire a lifelong love of learning, and to foster responsible citizenship. The K-12 school is located on three campuses in Somerville and Cambridge and serves over 1,100 students from diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. 64 percent of the students come from low-income families as defined by federal guidelines. 86 percent are from minority backgrounds.
