Good through the end of December, the 2012 YUM Restaurant card offers a 10 percent discount off food orders of $25 or more, according to the Welcome Project, the nonprofit sponsoring the discount program.
“Immigrant-run businesses contribute to the local and economy and the rich culture of Somerville,” said Warren Goldstein-Gelb, Welcome Project director. “YUM offers a great opportunity to support and explore our community by trying new restaurants and getting discounts on international cuisine throughout the year.”
The group is also planning a one-night smorgasbord, where all ten eateries will serve their finest in a forum for immigrant food, scheduled for April 25 at the Center for the Arts at the Armory.
Individuals interested in purchasing a YUM Restaurant Card or tickets to the 2012 YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City celebration can do so by visiting www.yumsomerville.org.
