The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Wednesday and Thursday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Wednesday, Nov. 28
12:27 p.m. Police responded to a neighbor dispute on Gardner Street.
1:00 p.m. Police took a report of larceny of a wallet from the YMCA on Leggs Hill Road.
1:15 p.m. Police responded to a report of shoplifting at the Target on highland Avenue.
1:31 p.m. Police responded to a report of larceny on Queensberry Drive.
2:17 p.m. A woman on Jefferson Avenue reported that a cell phone had been stolen from a Fed Ex package left at her residence.
4:41 p.m. Police responded to a dispute between two business owners on North Street.
5:35 p.m. Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment on Dow Street. A male party told police that as he was cooking, the stove caught fire and he was yelling at his kids to keep away while attempting to put it out. The apartment was full of smoke, but the fire was extinguished before arrival. The fire department was not needed.
8:31 p.m. Police responded to a report of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle at Salem Fitness on Swampscott Road.
9:11 p.m. Police responded to a verbal dispute between neighbors over as parking space on Roslyn Street.
Thursday, November 29
4:48 a.m. Police responded to a report of a party refusing to leave Salem Hospital. The party had reportedly become belligerent after being caught smoking in the facility.
8:56 a.m. Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run on at Lafayette Street and Loring Avenue.
9:33 a.m. Police responded to a report of suspicious activity in a car on Savoy Road, possible marijuana use. Vehicle was gone on arrival.
3:03 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight on Federal Street. Caller reported fighting parties left in a silver vehicle.
Jennelle Amy Junker, of 4 Mellow Parkway, Danvers, will be charged with operating with a suspended license.
Daniel William Kozik, homeless, will be charged with assault and battery.
Nicole E. McCarthy, of 7 Heritage Drive, was arrested on the basis of two warrants, and will also be charged with two counts of larceny over $250.
Catherine Mary Olson, of 116 Lafayette Street, will be charged with receiving stolen property $250 or less.
Austin Taylor Shea, of 19 Victory Road, will be charged with larceny, and fraudulently using a credit card.
Victoria Styskina, of 320 Lafayette Street, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
