The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Saturday and Sunday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Saturday, Oct. 27
4:03 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight at Lafayette and Harbor Street. Clear, no fight.
4:51 p.m. Police responded to a report of stolen planters on Lafayette Street. Reporting party states he noticed the items missing at approximately 11:30 a.m., and believes they were taken sometime overnight.
7:56 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight on Palmer Street. No fight on arrival.
10:50 p.m. Police took a report of a past assault on Essex Street.
11:45 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight on Hazel Street. Checked area, no fight.
Sunday, Oct. 28
12:10 a.m. Police took a report of a hit-and-run at Linden Street and Hersey Street.
12:31 a.m. Police responded to a report of a fight in the area of Boardman Street. While en route, officer was flagged down by a man who stated that he had been in a fight on Boardman Street. Initially he stated he had been jumped by a white male on Boardman Street, then altered his story and stated he had been jumped by a group of individuals and that it occurred on Webb Street. He had a welt under his eye and was highly intoxicated. He was taken into protective custody and then transported to Salem Hospital.
12:46 a.m. Police took a report of a past assault at Tavern in the Square. Party reported a fight broke out and he was punched and thrown to the ground by a man wearing a plaid suit.
5:42 a.m. Police took a report of a past assault on Highland Avenue.
9:09 a.m. Police took a report of a past hit-and-run on Liberty Hill Avenue.
Ronald L. Gomez, of 60 Dow Street, was arrested on the basis of a warrant and will also be charged with illegal possession of a Class B substance.
Michael James Brooks, of 6 Olde Coach Road, North Reading, will be charged with disorderly conduct.
Cody Ryan Fisher, of 12103 Inwood Drive, Woburn, will be charged with disorderly conduct.
Damien C. Henderson, of 17 Winter Avenue, Malden, will be charged with violating a protective order, aggravated assault and battery, and trespassing.
Christopher McInerney, of 13 Leos Lane, Avon, will be charged with OUI, driving with an open alcohol container, and failure to use care when backing up.
Kevin Mark O'Connell, of 114 Margin Street, will be charged with disturbing the peace.
Joseph Donald Piemonte, of 114 Margin Street, will be charged with disturbing the peace.
