The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Sunday, Sept. 16
4:10 p.m. Police responded to Northeast Animal Shelter on a report of missing cats. Staff reported arriving in the morning to find an open window and broken screen on the floor to a room, and the four cats that were staying in the room were missing. It appears that the window was left open and the screen was very loose. The screen had multiple holes in it and it appears the cats knocked off the screen and got out.
9:58 p.m. A party reported his car vandalized while it was parked in the municipal lot of Klop Alley. The driver's side door was kicked and the windshield wipers bent.
10:00 p.m. Police responded to a report of vandalism to a car on Gallows Hill Road.
Monday, Sept. 17
7:54 a.m. Police responded to a report of a bicyclist that was hit by a motor vehicle at North Shore Children's Hospital.
10:16 a.m. Police responded to a hit and run accident on Federal Street.
1:06 p.m. An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen off of Palmer Street.
2:27 p.m. Police responded to a hit and run at Charter Street and Hawthorne Boulevard.
Harrison Francis Carr, 18 Cherry Street, Wenham, was arrested on the basis of a warrant and will also be charged with driving without a license, red light or stop sign violation, and being a fugitive from justice.
Christina Marie Kenny, of 47 Leavitt Street, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
