Brooke Woodson, a former aide to Mayor Thomas M. Menino, has joined the Madison Park Development Corporation as its vice president of programs, according to the organization.
Woodson will oversee operations at the non-profit community development’s Hibernian Hall property, as well as oversee government and media relations for the organization.
“I am excited to be joining MPDC which is an exemplary organization doing outstanding work in so many fields,” Woodson said in a statement. “As someone whose family comes from Roxbury, I truly appreciate MPDC’s work in rebuilding the community and I look forward to helping it move to even greater heights.”
A graduate of the Boston University, Woodson, prior to joining Madison Park, was the director of the city's Small and Local Business Enterprise Office, a position he held for 20 years.
“Brooke’s background and expertise will allow us to expand our community economic development work in Roxbury,” Jeanne Pinado, CEO of Madison Park, said in a statement.
