The groovy sounds of the E. Water Band and the tantalizing smells of barbecue will be flowing out of Roxbury’s Gertrude Howe Park Saturday July, 28, as the community comes together for Weaverfest Day.
The annual free community party, in honor of Clifford and Catherine Weaver, will feature a number of performers from the West African Drummers to the Unified Voice of the New England Gospel Choir.
There will also be bounty of food and information and resource booths featuring groups like the South End Tech Center, The Statewide Black Clergy, and the Historic Moreland St. Neighborhood Association.
