Good news for fans of the Roslindale Village Farmers’ Market: Instead of ending the season in October, as is usual practice, the market has added three more Saturdays in November.
“We’ve had a lot of momentum in the past year with both record numbers of vendors and customers,” said Ben Sommer, manager of the market. “We think it’s great that some of our farmers have the produce this late in the season and are able and willing to bring it to our community, and of course, we want to take advantage of that.”
Stephanie Cave, executive director of Roslindale Village Main Street, said 16 vendors have been lined up for the November extension.
They are MacArthur Farm, Neighborhood Farm, Brookwood Community Farm. Whoopie Monster, On the Edge Knife Sharpening, Stir it up Cuisine, Walters Specialty Foods, Soula's Salsa, Foxboro Cheese, John Crow Farm, Tony's Market, Taza Chocolate, McCrea's Candies, Samira's Homemade, Gay Grace Teas, and Izotalillo Coffee.
The market takes place Saturdays at Adams Park in Roslindale Village from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Hours may be modified in November. Visit www.roslindale.net/farmersmarket for information and updates.
