Quincy police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly had a hard time robbing a Soverign Bank on Wednesday.
According to police, the man entered the Hancock Street bank at approximately 4:30 p.m. and handed the teller a note.
The teller told police that the note was not very legible, and she didn’t understand she was being robbed, police said.
When the teller attempted to turn over the note, the teller said the suspect grew frustrated and reportedly said “No, I’m robbing you,” while making a gun with his fingers, police said.
The teller gave the suspect a sum of money from her drawer and the man left through a side entrance.
According to police, the suspect is described as a 40-something-year-old white man, approximately 5’8” with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing an orange shirt, a dark grey hooded sweater, and jeans.
Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to contact Quincy Police.
