The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Sunday, Nov. 18
2:03 p.m. Police responded to a report of a child locked in a running vehicle at Bonkers Fun House on Lowell Street. Fire department gained access.
2:28 p.m. Tammy Lee Kendrick, of 653 Western Avenue, Lynn, was arrested and will be charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, and malicious destruction of property over $250.
3:07 p.m. Robert Balsum, of 97 Adams Street, Lynn, was arrested and will be charged with driving with a suspended license.
3:25 p.m. Party reports he was assaulted by neighbor on Newbury Street, Other party alleges the same. Officer discussed the situation with both parties, cooler heads now prevailing.
4:03 p.m. Police responded to a hit-and-run at Kappy's on Andover Street.
6:46 p.m. Party reports her vehicle has been broken into while at the Northshore Mall.
Monday, Nov. 19
8:41 a.m. Caller reports a suspicious person looking into cars on Main Street. Party was locked out of vehicle, officers assisted party and all is in order.
10:51 a.m. Police responded to a report of vandalism at a home on Tracey Street. Caller stated that her house was damaged by BB's. Two windows and vinyl siding were damaged.
11:50 a.m. Party reports that his mother may have been scammed on Will Sawyer Street. He believes that someone is supposed to arrive at approximately 2 p.m. to pick her up and take her to the bank to make a withdrawal. Officer reports the mother did not give out any personal information, she will consider changing her phone number. Officer is going to stay in the area in case someone does arrive.
1:32 p.m. Caller reports vehicles in the back parking lot of Bostich on Centennial Drive. Reporting party was concerned as he has had a problem with people meeting up in the parking lot to have sex. No problem, parties work nearby and had met up for coffee.
