The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Tuesday and Wednesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Tuesday, Nov. 13
3:03 p.m. Police responded to a single-car accident at the Hess gas station on Lowell Street. Car into fence, no injuries.
4:43 p.m. J.C. Penny at the Northshore Mall reports two shoplifters detained. Store will handle the matter internally.
4:58 p.m. Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run on Andover Street at Esquire Drive.
6:07 p.m. Caller on Walnut Street reports identity fraud. Officer reports someone tried to open a credit card at Kohl's in Danvers and was denied. Reporting party did not lose any money.
8:38 p.m. Party came into the police station to report forgery. Neysiauris Yagelis Pichardo, of 36 Walnut Street, Reading, will be summonsed to court and charged with forgery of a check.
8:54 p.m. Crystal Smith, of 36 Palmer Street, Salem, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
10:51 p.m. Shannon Dunn, of 59 King Street, will be summonsed to court and charged with driving with a suspended license.
Wednesday, Nov. 14
5:45 a.m. Have area car check for homeless person(s) camping out in doorway facing Stop & Shop. Complainant reports they are urinating in foyer and leaving trash and debris nightly.
8:56 a.m. Police assisted with a mock evacuation at the Northshore Mall.
10:22 a.m. Police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle at the Peabody Bread and Baking Company on Main Street.
1:06 p.m. Caller reports a fraudulent charge on Peabody Council on Aging account. Officer states that a fraudulent charge was placed on the business account.
