In a statement released on Monday, Mayor Ted Bettencourt promised a "treat for all who attend" this year's Peabody Holiday Festival.
The 29th annual Holiday Festival is set for Sunday, December 9. It will kick off with caroling in front of City Hall by Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Full House A Capella. And a short time later, two very special guests will make an appearance.
"Once again we will be joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus directly from the North Pole," Bettencourt said.

4 p.m. Christmas carols performed by PVMHS Full House A Capella in front of City Hall.
4:30 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive.
4:35 p.m. Mayor Bettencourt lights the city tree with the help of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
4:45 - 5 p.m. Party moves inside City Hall to the Wiggin Auditorium, where Santa and Mrs. Claus are introduced.
5 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Children can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus for pictures and Christmas wishes. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided.
