The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Sunday, Sept. 30
2:46 p.m. Police responded to a report of a man who may be intoxicated in the area of Petes-a-Place on Central Street. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
3:04 p.m. Police responded to a report of road rage at FedEx/Kinko's on Andover Street, two vehicles head-to-head in the center turning lane with parties arguing with each other from the vehicles. Officer spoke to both parties who report it was a verbal argument only.
5:39 p.m. Police responded to a report of assault at McDonald's on Main Street. Reporting party stated that another male party spit at him and threatened him with a golf club. Involved party returned and apologized. Reporting party was satisfied, no further action required.
6:01 p.m. Police responded to a report of a female smoking marijuana in the driver's seat of a white car at Town Variety on Central Street. Officer checked the area, gone on arrival.
6:25 p.m. Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run on Lowell Street. A black Ford pickup hit a telephone pole, damaging it. Officer was able to locate the vehicle at Four Star Towing. Michael Gambale, of 27 Buena Vista Avenue, Salem, was arrested and will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
6:26 p.m. Police took a report of a hit-and-run on Blaney Avenue.
7:57 p.m. Police responded to a report of two male parties, both wearing long coats, acting suspicious and taking things off the shelves at Walgreen's on Andover Street. Both parties asked to leave the store unwillingly.
11:52 p.m. Police responded to a report of a motorcyclist down at the intersection of Tremont and Central Street. Vehicle malfunctioned causing the incident while he was pushing it. Vehicle towed and operator given a ride home.
Monday, Oct. 1
1:36 a.m. Police responded to a report of an intoxicated party suffering a heart attack. EMS requested police as patient was fighting with them on Collins Street. Party transported to Salem Hospital.
5:02 a.m. Police responded to a report of a male party causing a disturbance on a porch at McIntire Court. Charles E. Tate, of 5 McIntire Court, was arrested and will be charged with felony breaking-and-entering at night.
8:04 a.m. Police responded to a report of a traffic hazard on Lowell Street at the site of a past construction job. All cones and barrels have been removed, but the ground is sinking in and creating a traffic hazard. Voicemail left for DPW.
1:22 p.m. Jessica Theresse Damico, of 95 High Street, Stoneham, was arrested by Stoneham Police on the basis of a warrant out of Peabody and was transported to Peabody Police Department for processing.
