The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Sunday, Sept. 16
4:04 p.m. John O. Roy, of 2 Henry Terrace, was arrested and will be charged with domestic assault and battery.
4:14 p.m. Police took a report of a hit and run at Hannaford's on Lowell Street.
5:39 p.m. Police responded to a report of a youth using hair dye to "make a statement" behind CVS. Youth transported back to his home.
6:39 p.m. Caller reports two males with a baby in their motor vehicle parked in the lot of Tennessee's BBQ with open beer cans. She also reports that she saw one of them drop a can on the ground by the car and then went into the restaurant. Officer checked the area, motor vehicle is not there.
9:24 p.m. Jerry R. Castro, of 264 Washington Street, will be summonsed to court and charged with driving without a license and speeding.
10:06 p.m. Police responded to a report of an injured skunk behind the fire station on Tremont Street.
10:09 p.m. A motor vehicle was reported stolen from Washington Street.
Monday, Sept. 17
12:11 a.m. Police responded to a possible fight at Homestead Studio Suites Hotel. Parties left the area prior to arrival.
9:57 a.m. Carlos Rodrigues, of 104 Tremont Street, will be summonsed to court for domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.
