The following was taken from the Peabody Police Department logs for Monday and Tuesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Monday, August 13:
2:09 p.m. Lisa M. Rice, of 156 Bow Street, Everett, was arrested for larceny over $250, and receiving stolen property over $250 at the Northshore Mall J.C. Penny.
2:09 p.m. Vincent G. Gennari, of 47 Winthrop Avenue, Revere, was arrested for receiving stolen property over $250 and four warrants from outside departments at the Northshore Mall J.C. Penny.
8:07 p.m. A woman reported that a wooden figurine was stolen from her fenced-in yard on Ellsworth Road. A Spongebob Squarepants windmill was taken. Resident would like the item returned if it turns up.
10:47 p.m. Police responded to Margin Street where calling party stated that a man was outside threatening to start a fire. Robert Rancourt transported to Salem Hospital.
Tuesday, August 14:
12:07 a.m. A woman reported that her friend assaulted her and damaged her car. As a result, Matthew D. Anderson, of 76 Walnut Street, was arrested for possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class E substance, drug violation near a school/park, assault and battery, and malicious damage to a motor vehicle over $250.
12:38 a.m. A party reported that a white male in a black, hooded sweatshirt and ski mask held a knife to her stomach then fled on foot down Lynn Street toward Lynn.
7:55 a.m. Cleomar Alves Oliveira, of 5 Parallel Street, Salem, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
8:48 a.m. Nicole V. Doherty, of 89 Needham Street, Newton, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and marked lanes violation.
1:49 p.m. Approximately 40-feet worth of copper was reported stolen from a bank-owned property on Newcastle Road.
1:56 p.m. Janet Nixon, of 152 Leydon Street, East Boston, will be summonsed for shoplifting over $250 from the Northshore Mall Sears. She was also trespassed from the mall for three years.
