The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park will hold its annual Holiday Trellis Lighting on Monday, Nov. 19, at 5:30 p.m.
The North End holiday tradition will include performances by teachers and students from the North End Music and Performing Arts Center, refreshments provided by Starbucks and the Marriott Long Wharf, and a special surprise guest who may or may not be clad in red and white faux-fur.
The event is free and open to all and is offered by the Friends group in cooperation with the Boston Parks & Recreation Department, with sponsorships from CL Waterfront Properties LLC and Tia’s Waterfront Restaurant.
The cost of lighting the trellis is largely covered by the Friends’ annual fundraiser, which will take place on Nov. 16 at the Harbor View Ballroom in the Marriott Long Wharf. For more information on these events or the Friends, visit http://www.foccp.org/.
