As part of fundraising efforts for its new museum and education center, Historic Newton will present "An Evening with Livingston Taylor & New Noise" on Nov. 16 at the theater in Newton North High School.
The organization will also use raised funds to restore a nursery and exhibition garden at the historic Newton home once owned by the Durant and Kenrick families.
Boston-born Taylor, who was raised in North Chapel, N.C., has a career spanning 40 years and is currently recording with young artists, who will also be a part of the evening as New Noise.
Tickets for the event, which begins at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, are on sale on Historic Newton's website for $45 and $75. Sponsorship level tickets, starting at $150, include premium seats and a reception with the artists following the concert.
