The annual 3.5-mile HopeWalks event, organized by Newton-Wellesley Hospital, will be held this Sunday, Sept. 29.
The neighborhood walk benefits the Integrative Support Services offered at the Vernon Cancer Center, which offers life-enhancing services that support healing and comfort for cancer patients, according to a press release. Integrative Support Services offered at the Vernon Cancer Center.
Newton-Wellesley Hospital wants to continue making these services available to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
HopeWalks begins and ends at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m., with opening ceremonies by MIX 104.1's Sue Brady as Emcee at 9:30 a.m.
The walk begins at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine.
After the walk there will be a barbeque for the participants, along with other activities.
