Treat Cupcake Bar celebrated the grand opening Monday of its second location at The Street in Chestnut Hill, according to a press release.
The area’s first-of-its-kind cupcake boutique, Treat has become known for its signature make-your-own bar and extensive, creative menu of everyday favorites and seasonal flavors, tasty cake pops, customizable cakes, and special events.
Sixteen flavors available daily range from red velvet, peanut butter overload, and funky chunky oreo to seasonal specialties like strawberry cheesecake, creamsicle, candy apple, and more. Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available, along with playful interpretations of kids’ favorite characters and animals.
Further, in continuing with its charitable initiative, Treat Others Well, Treat will donate a portion of the proceeds from one specialty cupcake to a different local non-profit organization each month.
The new 1,100 square foot location features the same whimsical color scheme and graphics as Treat’s Needham store, with bright and bold colors evoking a retro feel reminiscent of a 50s diner or ice cream shop. The Treat Boutique offers a variety of fun gifts and gear that includes graphic tees, racer back tanks, sweatpants, cupcake-flavored chapstick, and mugs.
At the signature make-your-own bar, Treat offers guests the opportunity to take the reigns in designing their own ultimate cupcake. Starting with a choice of four types of cake and four flavors of frosting, and topping it off with a selection of more than 20 add-ons, from peppermint patties and pop rocks to chocolate-covered pretzels and gummy worms, the possibilities are endless for creating a truly unique, delicious treat.
“It’s fantastic that Treat has been embraced by the community as much as it’s been,” explains owner David LaLiberte. “We’ve worked hard to create the best-tasting and most fun cupcake experience around, and I’m thrilled to open our second location at The Street where we can reach even more fans and their sweet tooths!”
