On Saturday, April 13th, Mayor Warren will be kicking off Marathon Weekend with a pasta dinner joined by the 2012 B.C. Hockey Champions, where the team will be displaying the Beanpot trophy, according to a press release.
The dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the War Memorial of Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Ave., 2nd floor.
On Sunday, April 14th, the Heartbreak Hill Road Race will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. outside City Hall.
This year, for the first time the city will also be hosting the Intergenerational Walk around City Hall. This event is co-sponsored by Newton at Home, the Newton Parks and Recreation Department, and the Newton Senior Center. This will also take place on Sunday, April 14th from 10:30am to 3:30pm.
On Monday, April 15th, the annual Boston Marathon will pass through Newton along Washington Street and Commonwealth Avenue.
