The City of Newton will hold a ceremony tomorrow in remembrance of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The ceremony will be held on the War Memorial steps outside City Hall at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
In addition, Mayor Setti Warren will attend a groundbreaking ceremony later in the evening for the Newton 9/11 Memorial, which will be built on the grounds of the Fire Department Headquarters. The groundbreaking will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Fire Headquarters, at 1164 Centre Street.
Both events are free and open to the public.
