Needham nonprofit youth rock Plugged In Band Program will host a housewarming on Sunday, Feb. 10 to celebrate their new location at 20 Freeman Place.
Attendees will be able to check out the facility, meet students and staff as well as the founders and the board of directors.
Anyone who wants to become part of the Plugged In community as a student, volunteer or board member should attend – whether you live in Needham or somewhere else.
The program is dedicated to showing young musicians how to make positive social change through music, according to a release about the event. Students get music instruction, song-writing workshops, and access to community performances with an emphasis on social responsibility, according to the release.
More than 300 students participate in the production of three annual benefit concerts where musicians raise money for charities chosen by the students.
No child is turned away from Plugged In, regardless of ability to pay.
The housewarming will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at 20 Freeman Place in Needham.
