Voters go to the polls in Democratic and Republican primaries today to select candidates to run in November for the legislative seat being vacated by state Rep. Lida Harkins.
Harkins is stepping after 22 years from her post as the representative in the 13th Norfolk District, which covers Needham, Dover and parts of Medfield will take place tomorrow.
Democratic candidates are Selectmen Jerry Wasserman and Denise Garlick and sales executive Gary McNeill. Republican candidates are John O’Leary, a Harvard University researcher, and Joshua Levy, a medical researcher.
Needham residents can vote between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at ten different polling locations, which can be viewed here.
Polls are open in Dover between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Town House, located at 5 Springdale Ave.
The district covers Medfield precincts one and two. Polls in Medfield are located at the town’s Senior Center at 1 Ice House Rd. and open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
