A 16-year-old girl was hospitalized Monday after being struck by a car in Milton.
Milton Fire Department said the girl was hit at 7:25 a.m. by a car going 20-25 miles per hour.
When emergency personnel arrived, the girl was still on the ground. She complained of hip and arm pain as well as pain in her legs, emergency responders said.
Deputy Chief Kevin Finerty said crews immobilized her and transported her to Children’s Hospital in Boston by ambulance.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and Thatcher Street, an area known for being dangerous, Finerty said.
“It’s a bad section. The way it’s set up, people coming out Central Ave, they really can’t see the people coming down Thatcher Street,” he said.
