Three-car accident

Two motorists were cited in a three-car accident that sent one person to the hospital.

According to police records, a call came in at 4:57 p.m. on Nov. 5 with a crash at the intersection of Granite Avenue and Squantum Street involving three cars.

Police said the first car was traveling southbound on Granite Avenue and was in the intersection when the driver attempted to make a left onto Squantum Street. He then hit a second car, which was traveling northbound.

The struck car spun out and hit a third vehicle that was stopped on Squantum Street at a red light.

Police said the first two cars sustained heavy front-end damage and were towed from the scene. The passenger of the second vehicle was taken by ambulance to Boston Medical Center.

The first motorist was citied for failure to yield to oncoming traffic while turning left. The second driver was cited for operating an unregistered vehicle.

Hydroplaning car injures two

A hydroplaning car that ran a red light sent two to the hospital.

According to police, the first car was sitting at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave and Dollar Lane waiting at a red light at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 7.

The car got a green light, and as it was making its way through the intersection, was hit on the passenger side by a second car.

The driver of the second car said she had been traveling North bound on Blue Hill Avenue when she hydroplaned while approaching the intersection, hitting the second car.

The second car sustained front-end damage, and both the driver and passenger of the first car were transported to Milton Hospital.

Police cited the second driver for failure to stop for a red light. Both cars were towed from the scene.

Head on collision injures three
Police are investigating the cause of a two-car accident that sent three to area hospitals.

Police said that they received multiple 9-1-1 calls from onlookers about the accident, which occurred on Nov. 8 at 7:34 a.m.

A witness behind the victim’s car stated that she saw the second car cross over the double lines and hit the victim’s car head on.

The operator of the victim’s car was transported by ambulance to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

The operator and passenger of the suspect’s car were transported to Quincy Medical Center.

The suspect was cited for a marked lanes violation. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
