The Milton Historical Society will hold its Winter Lecture Series at the Suffolk Resolves House at 1370 Canton Ave.
On Saturday, Feb. 2, Steve Kluskens, curator of the Suffolk Resolves House, will speak about the evolution of that site and why it continues to be active to this day. The talk will be from 10 a.m. to noon.
Elizabeth Pilla, social studies chair at the Fontbonne Academy, will discuss Milton’s first called Minister – Peter Thatcher – on Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. Thatcher was born in 1651 and died in 1727.
The lectures are for Milton Historical Society members only, but new members are welcome. Space is limited to 20 people per session and by reservation only.
