Voters in Milton are voting today in an election that includes a local question of whether to adopt the Community Preservation Act.
Milton polls will close at 8 p.m. You can check out a sample ballot beforehand right here.
If approved, the CPA would create a local, dedicated fund for historic preservation, open space, community housing, and outdoor recreation projects.
It would also add a 1.5 percent property tax on local taxpayers with an exception to the first $100,000 and seniors on low and moderate fixed incomes. On average it will cost Milton homeowners an extra $88 to $125 a year.
