The Milton Public Library is looking for local teenagers interested in starting a team that will be known as “TAG” -- the Teen Advisory Group.
According to a news release about the group, TAG members will meet monthly to promote teen leadership and involvement in the library. Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 18 and willing to work on a team.
The group will plan and promote teen-centric library programs, assist with the selection of video games and books in the library’s teen collection, and work on giving back to the library and greater Milton community.
Benefits to participants include earning community service hours for resumes and college applications, meeting other “library loving teens” and helping to “make the library a better place," Emily Calkins, young adult librarian, said in a statement.
The first meeting will be held Sept. 24 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the library conference room at 476 Canton Avenue. For more information prior to the meeting contact Calkins at 617-698-4958 or email email@example.com.
