A Whole Foods Market is set open later this month at the former site of Johnnie's Foodmaster on Main Street in Melrose.
The high end national grocery chain assumed the leases of six former Foodmaster locations when the regional chain shut in November.
The store at 880 Main Street in Melrose has undergone renovations, and is set to hold a grand opening July 24, according to an announcement posted on the store's Facebook page.
One final hurdle in local approval remains before the store can open. The city needs to approve a common victualler license, which will be considered by the Board of Aldermen's license committee on July 11.
The store is scheduled to hold a grand opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m. July 24.
