MHS production of 'Oliver'

The following was submitted by Melrose High School: 

“Consider Yourself" part of the family and come see Melrose High School’s production of the beloved musical favorite “Oliver!” The play will be performed on April 4th, April 5th and April 6th at 730 PM and April 7th at 2 PM at the state of the art Melrose Performing Arts Center located at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, 350 Lynn Fells Parkway, Melrose, MA. Ticket prices are $8.00 for Melrose High School Students, $10.00 for all other students, children and senior citizens and $12.00 for Adults and will be available at the door and online at Over fifty Melrose High School students are involved in the production as well as several Middle School students. 

Based on the timeless Charles Dickens tale (with music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart), this Melrose High School production of “Oliver!” vividly brings to life the well known story of the young runaway orphan and his search for family and love. Along the way, he meets the colorful Artful Dodger, the infamous thief Fagin and his gang of pickpockets, the evil and sinister Bill Sykes, the nurturing and lovable Nancy and a host of other memorable Dickens characters. Through classic songs like “Food Glorious Food”, “Oliver”, “Consider Yourself”, "As Long As He Needs Me," "Where is Love?", "Who Will Buy?" and many more, “Oliver!” tells the story of how triumph overcomes heartbreak in this rich and joyful production. The play is appropriate for audiences of all ages and is sure to become a family favorite. The play is directed by Adam Schuler with Vocal Direction by Kristen McEntee, Choreography by Becca Flint and Technical Direction by David McCall. The production will also boast elaborate sets, lighting and costumes as well as a full orchestra conducted by Mr. Matthew Rapucci. Set design is by Adam Schuler and David McCall, the stage manager is Isabella O’Connell and the cast is as follows:
