Jarrett Barrios, CEO of the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts, and Mayor Rob Dolan invite you to join them in Melrose tomorrow as they recognize a 30-year Red Cross employee.
Laurice Zwicker of Melrose started volunteering for the Red Cross in 1978. About five years later she was offered a full time job at the Melrose office, where she was worked ever since.
“We truly appreciate Laurice’s dedication to the organization,” said Barrios. “We want to celebrate it, and recognize all she’s done for us over the years.”
Zwicker first volunteered as a receptionist, worked in blood services and also helped support the military. She is currently working for the Ames Relief Fund, which is an endowed fund that supports the Red Cross mission in Melrose.
Red Cross Chief Programs Officer Lily Mendez-Morgan and Bob Bowers, Regional Director of Volunteer Services, will join Barrios, Dolan and Zwicker at 179 Green St. in Melrose at 10 a.m. on Jan. 30.
