The third in a series of visioning meetings to discuss the extension of the Green Line will be held tonight in Medford.
Community members will be asked to discuss assets and opportunities around the proposed station site, said Amanda Linehan of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in an e-mail message. The group is a regional organization that facilitates community involvement in governmental processes.
Plans call for a station at Route 16, near the Medford-Somerville border.
The meeting is scheduled from 6:30-9 p.m. in the Cabot Auditorium at 160 Packard Ave. in Medford.
The visioning sessions began in February and are expected to take a year, according to the planning council. Responses from community members will be recorded and organized for input into the wider Green Line planning process.
