The Bulgarian-American Cultural (BAC) Madara Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Springstep Gallery, is pleased to present

Georgi Petrov
"Password Love"

WHEN. Opening Reception: Friday, July 9, 7:30 - 11:00 pm.  Exhibit Dates: July 9 - September, 2010

WHAT. On Friday, Friday 9, 2010, The Bulgarian-American Cultural (BAC) Madara and Springstep will host an Opening Reception for the new exhibit, Password Love located at the Springstep Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public, and will feature live music from the Plamen Karadonev Trio (jazz, ethno Jazz, fusion) and include refreshments and wine plus remarks about the exhibit. All work will be for sale, unless otherwise noted. 

OVERVIEW. Through the universal language of painting, Georgi Petrov succeeds in depicting love and bringing the contemporary vision of his home in Bulgaria to the United States. Georgi Petrov was born in Dobrich, Bulgaria and currently lives and works in Sofia. He graduated from the Technical University of Forests, and he earned MA in Art Management from the Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts in the town of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He owns an art gallery in the town of Dobrich.

ABOUT THE GALLERY.  Open Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm as well as evenings and weekends when other programs are in session.

ABOUT BAC MADARA. This organization, spearheaded by Violeta Jeliazkova, presents wonderful cultural Bulgarian celebrations throughout the year. Well known Bulgarian performers, emerging youth groups, and established local music and dance companies are regularly brought to the Springstep stage for performances, followed by participatory community dancing and other cultural activities.
