Ron Willett (left), of Marblehead, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Northern New England.
Ron is the President of the Northeast Region of AIG and is responsible for the company’s Commercial Property, Casualty, and Consumer Lines businesses in the Northeast. Ron was appointed as the Regional President in April of 2009.
Prior to his current position, Ron was the Vice President of National Accounts in the Boston Office.
Ron joined the company in June of 1991 as a Sales Representative in the Accident & Health Division. Prior to moving in to the National Accounts role in 2005, he had spent his entire AIG career working for the Accident & Health Division. He became the Boston Regional A&H Manager in 1996. In 2001, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of the A&H Division’s Eastern Zone which was comprised of the Eastern U.S. and all of Canada.
In addition to serving on the Board for Junior Achievement of Northern New England, he is also a Board member of Digs for Dignity, a manufacturer of custom hospital gowns for Cancer patients undergoing treatment, and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, as well as Assistant Coach and Board member in the Marblehead Youth Hockey program.

I have admired the organization from a distance for quite some time, and appreciate the opportunity to officially become a part of it,” said Ron Willett.

Ron is a graduate of Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT and of Tabor Academy in Marion, MA. He grew up in Hyannis, MA and now lives in Marblehead, MA with his wife Jacquie and their son Brendan.
