Marblehead resident June Rhodes’ photo, entitled “Beginning of Pinky Ardelle,” won first prize in the People category of the 2010 Essex National Heritage Area Photo Contest.
Rhodes’ image, which was taken in the Burnham Boat Yard in Essex, depicts, “people engaging with their Heritage Area,” according to the National Heritage website. “Beginning of Pinky Ardelle” was selected by a panel of judges from over 200 images.
All winning images are available to be viewed at the National Park Service Regional Visitor Center or online. The winning photographers will be presented with their awards on Jan. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the National Park Service Regional Visitor Center in Salem.
