The Medford man accused of shooting another man in the leg last Saturday on a Malden street was ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing, according to the office of Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr.
Daniel Rossetti, 20, was ordered held by District Court Judge Antoinette Leoney, pending the Aug. 27 court date, when a judge will determine if Rossetti is approved for bail.
He pleaded not-guilty to charges of armed assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery with a deadly weapon, said Stephanie Chelf-Guyotte, spokeswoman for Leone's office.
Rossetti was arrested in Chelsea early Tuesday morning, after police responded to a domestic dispute there and found Rossetti and his girlfriend arguing, according to Chelsea Police.
Malden police said Rossetti shot another man in the thigh on Middlesex Avenue near downtown Malden in a dispute over a woman. He fled the scene, but police tracked a grey sedan he was spotted in to Medford.
