The Lexington Chamber of Commerce will kick off its annual Summer Concert Series Friday and performances will be held weekly through the end of August.
This season will be the 33rd year of the concert series, which will be held this year on the lawn of the Lexington Visitors Center at 1875 Massachusetts Avenue, according to Mary Jo Bohart, the executive director of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce.
The free outdoor music concerts will be held each Friday, beginning July 13, at 6:30 p.m. and each concert will conclude at dusk.
The concert series is made possible through sponsorships and donations from local businesses. Concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets.
The schedule of this summer’s concerts is:
July 13: The Benjamin Road Band (blues, rock and ballads)
July 20: Ben Rudnick & Friends (lively music for families)
July 27: The Porch Rockers (classic rhythm and blues)
Aug. 3: Three Of A Kind (popular rock and roll)
Aug. 10: Strictly Overtime (rock and roll favorites)
Aug. 17: Soft Touch (big band bass)
Aug. 24: Jumpin’ Juba (boogie woogie and New Orleans roots)
Aug. 31: Boston Black Thorne (traditional Irish music)
