An afterschool and summer youth arts program plans to host a homemade arcade and mini golf event in Jamaica Plain this month.
Games and prizes will be offered at the all-ages event on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church on Eliot Street, according to an announcement from the KidsArts! Multicultural Afterschool and Summer Program.
The afternoon will feature electricity-free, hand-built skeeball, pinball, foosball, wheel-of-fortune and nine holes of indoor, fruit-themed miniature golf dubbed “Whacky Watermelon Minigolf,” organizers said.
The games were built by students, staff and friends of the KidsArts! Program.
Admission is $5 for children 12 years old and under. It is $10 for anyone older than 12.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the program, which runs arts classes and activities for children in preschool through fifth grade.
