Organizers of the second annual JP Music Festival announced the event's lineup of scheduled performers this week.
The free festival will feature two stages with continuous music from more than 24 artists and bands who either live or work in Jamaica Plain. It will be held at Pinebank Field on Sat., Sept. 8 from 12 to 7 p.m.
Music genres include funk, jazz, Mexican, classical, hip-hop, rock, Americana, folk, dance, punk, pop, and metal, organizers said. A mix-tape featuring most of the performers can be heard here.
The performance line-up is set to include:

- Bob Bradshaw
- Dennis Brennan
- Select members of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra
- Coyote Kolb
- Lauren DeRose
- Amelia Emmet & Thick Wild
- Gracious Calamity
- Jim Hobbs
- Jamaica Plain Symphony Orchestra
- Late Greats
- Lenny Lashley's Gang of One
- Mariachi Mexamerica
- Morris and the East Coast
- The Needy Visions
- Riding Shotgun
- Rocky Nook
- Streight Angular
- The Whiskey Boys
The event also plans to host food trucks that will arrive about an hour before the festival, activities for kids and merchandise.
