A Plymouth home-staging company has received the top award of the the National Association of Home Builders for a project at Hingham’s Black Rock Country Club.
The win came as a shock to Blair Hamaty, chairman and executive managing officer for Setting the Space, which provides high-end staging and design for professional staging, renting purposes, or clients looking to stage on their own.
Hamaty’s team at Setting the Space has staged over $1 billion in real estate since its inception in 2006.
At the association’s International Builders' Show in Florida this month, Setting the Space received a gold award for its staging homes at the Residences at Black Rock, the residential component of the country club.
“When the National Association of Home Builders announced we won their top honor for staging, our team was floored. Our team works seven days a week and it's not always easy, but we love what we do and truly understand and enjoy the ability we have to get property sold," Hamaty said.
The association has been recognizing superior sales and marketing achievements for the past 31 years.
Hamaty currently has a Plymouth warehouse where he keeps thousands of furniture pieces to use for staging purposes.
The ever-growing inventory is merely one aspect of the evolving business, however, as Hamaty says his client numbers have steadily increased since the company was founded six years ago.
Hamaty said he has an extensive background in retail furniture and home décor that has helped bring him to today’s accomplishment, and he only hopes the business will continue to grow.
According to a release, Blair is a member of the Association of Staging Professionals, through StagedHomes.com, as well as the International Association of Home Staging Professionals. He is also President of the local chapter of home stagers called Boston International Regional Chapter (BIRC).
He also oversees a yearly charity event to benefit a worthy cause through staging/decorating, the release said.
