With the official launch of Boston’s second food truck season fast approaching, the city has released a schedule for some of its newest and most popular food truck sites.
Although not all of the sites and times have been decided, the city has posted a schedule for some of the program’s most popular public sites, including the re-opened City Hall Plaza sites, and the program’s first cluster sites.
The schedule, which was determined by lottery Thursday, shows up to three trucks at a time will be able to park at City Hall Plaza during the week, but not all spots are filled.
The schedule also shows two trucks will be able to cluster at the Stuart Street location in the Back Bay and at a newly created site in the Financial District.
Food truck owners had previously called on the city to open more spots in the Financial District and to allow trucks to cluster to boost business and make room for more trucks.
Familiar vendors are scheduled to make the rounds through the city when the official season begins April 1, but the schedule also shows some new-to-Boston trucks, including Lobsta Love, a truck by popular Brookline cafe Paris Creperie, Chicken & Rice Guys, and Mei Mei Street Kitchen.
The schedule for most of the program’s other sites will also be determined by a lottery after vendors submit their scheduling requests for those sites.
