The sweet smell of unique culinary creations will be wafting out of the Bowdoin-Geneva Farmers’ Market Thursday, as it plays host to the Celebrate the Fruits of Our Ocean campaign.
Put on by the Boston Collaborative for Food and Fitness, the free event aims to connect local residents to the seafood that is found in the waters right off Boston.
From samples to chef demonstrations, Thursday’s events will provide residents with everything they need to know about taking advantage of area seafood, from where to get it to how to cook it.
Chef Carlos Gomes of Restaurante Cesaria and Chef Akeisha Hayde of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Food Services will also be in attendance as they battle it out in a “Seafood Throwdown.”
Thursday’s event, which will be held at 230 Bowdoin St., will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Those who would like to participate in the tastings must register the day of the event.
